Friday 29th June 7.30pm: Musica Johannis is a vocal octet. Their summer programme comprises a variety of music, all easy listening and a capella, ranging from North Country Folk Songs to popular standards such as Tea for Two. Tickets £8 per person which includes refreshments, and under 18 years old are free. More details and tickets from Fiona on 07798 724631 or on the door.
We are fortunate, after many requests, to secure a concert by the Durham Police Band.
This will take place in church on Friday 12th October at 7.30pm. Proceeds will go towards the organ repairs. Further details will be announced nearer the time. As places are limited you may wish to reserve a seat. Contact can be made via the 'Contact us' page.


The Hub and The Gathering for young people have re-started for 2018. Please look at the noticeboard in church for dates.
RECENT EVENTS
By popular demand a domino evening was held on the evening of Friday 8th June in the church hall. Proceeds were £537 which will go towards the organ repairs. Thank you all who made this contribution possible.


The Christian Aid Quiz at The Fox & Hounds raised £540.

A Talk with supper and wine took place on Saturday 16th September 7.00 for 7.45pm at West Mews by kind invitation of April Stephenson. Robin Brims was the speaker. £1,598.50 was raised with particular thanks to Barclays Bank for their contribution of £750 under the £1 for £1 staff support!

 


Friday 21st April 7.00pm for 7.30pm start . A FUN WHIST DRIVE with refreshments was held in the church hall. The church hall furnishings 'fund' benefited by the profit of £264. Thanks to Brenda Newbegin and all who helped and supported the event.


Friday 10th February 6.45pm for 7.00pm there was a talk by John McCabe in the church hall. Title: Wish you were here...... instead of me!

Donations for the church amounted to £90.


 

Friday 2nd December an enjoyable Domino Night and Supper were held in the hall. £600 was raised to the church hall fund. Thank you all who supported the event.


 

On Saturday 12th November at 12 Noon there was an Organ Recital in church by Marc Bryant followed by a soup lunch in the new hall. Our thanks to Marc. Proceeds amounted to £347.50

 


 

There was an Antiques evening on Friday 17th June 2016 at West Mews by kind permission of April Stephenson. £1650 was raised for the hall building work, £750 of this thanks to Barclays bank
